DPM Theme/Topic/Guiding Question
Our Question(s):
How can we deal with being in limbo? How can we honor the holy Saturdays in our lives? Where/when is limbo beautiful? What tethers us in our limbo?
250-word Statement:
As we told our stories, we felt like a lot of them tied back to the idea of being stuck in-between–being in “limbo.” We also addressed a lot of big transitions, locations, or relationships in which we find ourselves in limbo: war, moving, growing up, feeling helpless, seeking balance. In exploring this idea of “limbo,” we want to focus on the concept of ‘Holy Saturdays” in our lives. The crucifixion happened on Good Friday, the Resurrection came on Easter Sunday. No one knows what’s going to happen on Saturday. The worst has happened and the rest is yet to come--true despair/impossible hope. So how can we honor the holy Saturdays in our lives? What tethers us in limbo, and how can we make the most of the liminal space that is this life?
